Michele Marco Rossi, one of the most inventive and original Italian cellist, joins  the complicity of the young and well-prepared Calamani Orchestra,  portaying a program in which the music of the present days   dialogues with the music of the past: two of the admittedly “nocturnal” pages by Salvatore Sciarrino, Linee d’aria and Gesualdo Senza Parole alternate with two instrumental works from the early eighteenth century’s Italy, in which the cello performs the part of the soloist. The starting point is the music of Sciarrino, a composer who has been always in active contact with the masters of the past – Gesualdo, Bach, Scarlatti, Mozart – following the thread of transcription or reinvention.
