Maria Perrotta
piano
Today Maria Perrotta, first prize at the Shura Cherkassky Competition in 2008 and a large discography for Decca, is one of the most authoritative interpreters of Bach’s music on the piano. Grainy sound, harpsichord technique, formal design with clear outlines, for many she is “the Italian Rosalyn Tureck”. Here she is back in Bologna with her new Bach project entitled “Vocabulaire Bach: A-Z”, a formidable anthology of Bach’s best-known compositions in their fundamental specifications: didactics, dance, concert, counterpoint.
