Hao Rao

Hao Rao at the age of 17 was an honorable mention finalist at the 2021 Chopin Competition, performing Concerto No.1 under the direction of Andrey Boreyko. Born in the mountainous village of Jishou, he began piano lessons at the age of four. Even so young, he boasts a conspicuous palmarès of victories in piano competitions, including first prize in the three most important Chinese national competitions (Steinway, Pearl River, Xinghai Cup). Thus says the critic of his debut album Chopin Recital: “The young and phenomenally talented Hao Rao has shown that it is not necessary to be born on the Vistula to understand Chopin”.
