The “peace” word, next to the word “orchestra”, incites in our mind an idea of hope for the future. Martha Argerich, who is always sensitive to the human and civil rights’ cause, among others has joined the initiative of the Peace Orchestra Project. The orchestra is made of young musicians between the ages of 18 and 25 from the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana and the Brazilian Neojiba Orchestra, directed by Ricardo Castro. The great Argentine pianist will play the Concerto n. 1 by Beethoven, while the young italian pianist Federico Gad Crema, who is the creator and curator of the POP’s project, will be a brilliant soloist in the Concerto n. 2 by Shostakovich.
