Trio Nebelmeer

The name Trio Nebelmeer is inspired by the Romantic myth of the “wanderer in the mist,” particularly a famous painting by Caspar David Friedrich. Founded in 2019 by three young French musicians, the trio won the “Premio Trio di Trieste” last year and has pursued a rigorous course of study under the guidance of renowned chamber ensembles such as the Trio Wanderer, the Modigliani Quartet, and the Diotima Quartet. As a result, they have developed a repertoire focused on piano trio compositions from the 19th and early 20th centuries. In their program, they pair Schubert and Mendelssohn with the neoclassical modernism of Ravel’s Trio.
