Doré Quartet

The string quartet tradition in Italy remains remarkably vibrant, as evidenced by the large number of ensembles currently active. Among them, the Quartetto Doré holds a prominent place. Founded in 2022 within the Stauffer Academy in Cremona, the quartet’s journey seamlessly blends concert performance with continuous training—initially under the guidance of the Quartetto di Cremona, and later with some of the world’s leading ensembles, including the Alban Berg, Ébène, Artemis, Emerson, Ysaÿe, Melos, and Pavel Haas Quartets. Their program pairs two classic quartets by Mozart and Schubert with a contemporary work: Tenebrae (2002) by Argentine composer Osvaldo Golijov.
