Andrea Lucchesini

Throughout his interpretative career, Andrea Lucchesini has always composed the programs for his concerts, constantly seeking underground connections and contrasts of character. This is clearly demonstrated by the layout of this recital: the vivid and overwhelming stylistic contrasts of Schumann’s Fantasy in C Major and the “narrative” sequence of Chopin’s Preludes Op. 28 are preceded by two pieces by Luciano Berio, which Lucchesini has long engaged with: the Six Encores composed between 1965 and 1990, and the famous Sequenza for Piano from 1966: “a journey of exploration through the known and unknown regions of color.”
