Teatro Manzoni
Angela Hewitt
piano
Angela Hewitt, Canadian pianist, ideal heir of Glenn Gould, in exactly twenty years, between 1994 and 2014, recorded all the keyboard works of Johann Sebastian Bach. And between 2007 and 2008 he performed the Well-Tempered Clavier in 21 different countries spread over six continents. Two monumental feats that testify to the desire to have a broad, complete, “total” look at the work of a composer. An irrepressible aptitude that pushed her last year to undertake the challenge of the complete recording of Mozart’s Piano Sonatas. It is no coincidence that Bach, Mozart and the adored Scarlatti are the three “absolute” peaks of his Bolognese recital.
