Stefano Montanari, a baroque violinist with unparalleled flair and now one of the most sought-after orchestra conductors in Europe, returns to the ‘ancient’ chamber music repertoire with a program dedicated to the practice of baroque two-part sonatas: from the historical foundation of Corelli’s op.5 to Vivaldi’s concerto-like style. Alongside him is his sister Valeria, who, like Stefano, was part of Ottavio Dantone’s Accademia Bizantina and continues to inhabit the world of early music as a continuo player and fortepianist.
