Jean-Marc Luisada

piano

Jean-Marc Luisada is a pianist of absolute grace, capable of transporting us to “a world that shows us with incredible sounds, rhythms that are uniquely his own, phrasing that tells stories. He is a poet, and Chopin, of course, is his preferred hunting ground. And Schumann, Granados, Poulenc, Beethoven, Mozart, and Bach, all owe him something. That something he gives them by reinventing them with that smile that makes his face seem like a star. The sky rests on his fingers and makes us take off with him” (Alain Duault). An interpreter who “does not resemble others”, already a winner of the Dino Ciani Competition (1983), Jean-Marc Luisada imposed himself at the Chopin Competition in Warsaw in 1985 and received advice from great masters such as Paul Badura-Skoda, Nikita Magaloff, and Vlado Perlemuter.
