Maria Grazia Bellocchio

Maria Grazia Bellocchio’s laboratory of ideas is in continuous evolution. After “A journey in Italy” and “Aphorisms,” a series of suggestions around Kurtág’s Játékok, here comes “Forms in time,” which moves through the history of keyboard music in search of echoes, mirrors, and resonances. Within the concert framework, two distinct three-voices conversations take shape: the piano solo works of Alessandro Solbiati and Fabio Nieder engage in a dialogue with the harpsichord works of two contemporaneous masters of the 18th century, Jean-Philippe Rameau and Domenico Scarlatti. In the distance, one can hear the echoes of two caprices by György Ligeti.
