María Dueñas, a twenty-two years old girl native of Granada and an emerging star in the international violin scene, is an artist with a dynamic personality. “I listen to all kinds of music, from Rosalía to trap music. I play the violin, but I enjoy writing as well. I love making music with others and I am curious about life in general.” After leaving Andalusia to study in Vienna with Boris Kuschnir, María has excelled in competitions such as Tretyakov, Menuhin, BBC, and Spivakov. In Bologna, alongside the Estonian conductor Paavo Järvi and his Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, she presents the exquisite and beautiful sound of Max Bruch’s first violin Concerto.
