Emanuel Ax and Vladimir Jurowski converge on the expansive and robust German musical tradition. What unites them is the name of Beethoven, but above all, a perfect musical instrument like the Bavarian State Orchestra, of which Jurowski, as the generalmusikdirektor of the Munich Opera, is the permanent conductor. Weber and Schumann complete the journey through German music of the early 19th century.
